Otters, and Sharks, and Jellies, oh my!

Spent the weekend in Monterey, visiting the Aquarium. Pet a bat ray, oogled sunfish, poked alot of things in tidepools, spent the weekend in a state of wonderment. Awesome. It has become my life goal to do something so wonderful/fiscally generous that I get to have the Aquarium all to myself for a few hours.

Contrary to popular wisdom, Disneyland is not, in fact the most magical place on earth. More on this discovery later: as it happens, the Monterey Bay Aquarium (even after 2 days) really is all that it is cracked up to be.

In the meantime, get thee to an educational exhibit as soon as possible. Amusement parks rot your brain, and tuna schools are good for the soul.

Also, members of the Aquarium get to attend member events, including an overnight at the Aquarium. I totally know what I want for Christmas.

How public—like a Frog—
To tell one's name—the livelong June—
To an admiring Bog!
